I have recently found out that .org registry is owned by pir.org

What I wanna know is who owns com/net/info/biz extensions?

I want to become a reseller of these extensions.

One more question, will there be a significant price difference b/w Reseller Clubs, Enom and these registry owners???

Thanks

If you want to be a reseller you have several options. But most programs require some money up front to be used to pay for domains later. After that, the prices can vary quite a bit as doew the reseller site they provide you, if any. I would avoid any program that asks you for a fee just to be in the program.

In your search make sure you look at Reseller Club, and try to join under another reseller since you should be better prices with less money to start with then if you just join on your own as I did.

In realty the US government is the top authority. Verisign, Afilias, Neustar, PIR etc do not own the TLDs. Rather they have been chosen to manage one or more TLDs.

It would also be more correct to say that the registrant of a domain has bought the right to use a domain rather that actually owning the domain.
