Another question:

Who on Namepros has sold a domain on www.GreatDomains.com for the actually listed price (or at least 75% of the listed price) ? I know we have some members who have, let's hear from you!
Again, if you don't want to divulge the price, or domain name, that's ok. I, for one, haven't sold a name for the listed price!! Or, for any price, ha!! :D

I've got about 4 or 5 domains there and have not ever received even an offer on any of them.

I can beat that Fonzie. I have had at over 20 names listed in the past, maybe 25. Still have 2, or three on there. I ,too, have never even had 1 offer on any of them.
But, I'm sure there are a few Namepros members who have sold one!!!

I never recived even a nibble on any of the ones I had listed there.. GD is a farce IMO.

I utilized their - once upon a time - old $500.00 flat-fee Escrowโ„ข service for the End user sales of 3 - 4 of my domains, but that is it!
I found the End users myself, and they simply processed the escrow and transfer.
Verisign owns GreatDomains, so caveat emptor IMHO. :tri:

All the best!

I highly doubt anyone has sold close to their asking price on namepros. Greatdomainz is more like silly overpriced crap domains. (especially some of the .tvs)

Oh yes, Verisign, of course, also owns the .TV Registry as well! :| :snaphappy:
Again ... Caveat emptor, IMHO.

Thanks for everyone's honest feedback. It's great to hear first-hand about all these services.

No sale so far but at least got 3 offers in about 3 year time, I have very recently rejected a decent one for a .TV name which was well below the reserve price. No regret but still hope. GD is good for the exposure but not good for the list price credibility.

Wow, my friend, at you received some offers! I really didn't open this thread to knock GreatDomains. I really thought we had at least one person who sold a domain there for listed price, or close to it. But, it seems as most of us feel the same about GD. Hopefully, new members will read this, and not get overly excited when they get their first name listed on GD. As stated by you above, it is good exposure anyway.

I put up my first domain on great domains and sold it for 85% of the list price in 1-2 weeks. I was paid in 1 more week. I am more than happy with their service, although their cut was rather large!!

So there was someone on Namepros with a GD sale!! Wow, 85% of the list is pretty good. Well, you are the exception, but I am glad for you, and glad to hear someone on Namepros actually made a pretty good sale! Don't want to tell us an amount, or domain name?

Meh, for asking price?
Ne-heh-ver.
I sold one for less than 10% of asking price, and have even let a couple expire that were (And at least 1 that I let expire that now our own AdoptableDomains owns ;) ).

absolutely.. Great Domains is like a once great football player in the autumn of his career.. Name carries him so far yet very little remaining substance...

I get Realism.tv approved. I get WiMax.tv declined... the logic someone please..

5 or 6 domains listed there for years...... Never a sniff... And take a zero off their estimation and I say SELL...

i dont think any of the domains listed are ever going to sell for the asking price
they are just too inflated and dont reflect the current markets prices

I've currently got 38 domains listed with Great Domains. Most of them have been there 5 - 12 months. So far I've had zero offers. GD won't even tell me if my names have gotten any hits...say they don't monitor that...hard to believe.

So I've given up on making any sales through them; I just let them sit so they turn up in searches, hoping someone will see their prices, and then see my own lower prices and drop me a line.

I thought I had a lot of domains listed with GD in the past, with 25 or so. You must be the current record holder. If not, at least on NamePros, for sure. However, what does that say for the norm. 38 domains, and zero offers. I think with GD, the exception is the rule. Maybe 1 lucky guy, or gal, out of how many, will actually sell a domain there? That is at any price, let alone close to the listed price!

I just offered to place Meds.cc on GreatDomains. They rejected it. I was shocked since they had lesser names listed like flame.cc, creditunion.cc and seals.cc.
