Looking back I thought i was was a fool... I sold hundreds of domains for bitcoins... years ago... for .05-.25 usd per bitcoin.

I had let my bitcoin wallet collect dust for quite sometime until a friend texted me earlier this week and said get ready to sell out.

well, those domains I sold for $1-$3 us... (or on average 5 bitcoin per domain) just netted me a buttload. One bitcoin peaked at $240ish USD. so if you had 500 bitcoins thats $120,000....

Who else struck it rich this week?

nice. i never got on the bitcoin wagon but its pretty cool to end up making so much more by simply doing nothing at all. bitcoin prices seem to be down right now though, less than 100 per.

I still don't get it. There's talk right now that someone has been doing some creative pump-n-dump, similar to what happens with penny stocks - spread some exciting news, before buying up the market, then unload when everyone's buying. It is nice to see some alternative currencies available though, it tells me people are thinking and getting creative.

Is it kind of reseller hosting ,means you just having some good domain and according to users demand you are just selling it out,is it only concept of reselling of hosting or anything else there?

I agree that it must have been artificially stimulated. Prices jumped from $100/per to $240/per very quickly and then there was a mass sellout. I do not follow the bitcoin trend, and my wallet had been sitting untouched on a flash drive for well over a year.. but when i heard they hit the $200 per range.. of course I am going to sell out.... and I am sure there were 1000s more like me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but because bitcoins aren't really accepted anywhere (except for some web based services), they are pretty much useless right?

I think it would take more time in getting popularity.

Even lower today (around $50) glad I sold last week when it peaked to $240 or so.

@Fuadiansyah indeed, I still have a fair amount banked, wish I didn't sell 1k of them @ $200 but im definitely not complaining :)

Around the time of my original reply I speculated and won (today) on Ehereum and Ripple (XRP) banked ripple when they were really cheap (under a cent each), now they have spiked up to .30+

Oh and yes I still think XRP is a good buy today.

Wow, I wish I am aware about this big opportunity at that time.
At 2013, still dealing with college shit..
I just entered into domaining and crypto about the end of 2016...
