I tried unsuccessfully to contact several services to get information, for example domain name stat dot com, offer extensive statistical information, but they don't respond to any of my 5 messages... so my question is who are the original sources of this data?

Thanks.

Do you mean like how many .com domains are registered? That would be Verisign and yeah most likely they would not reply back, they are not great about getting back to individuals in my experience, if you call and call you get through sometime.

For help with stats maybe @jmcc he is the best when it comes to stats in my opinion.

I dont know Verisign, i say :

domainnamestat dot com

dnpric.es

whoisxmlapi dot com

none of these responds.

I don't even try to share some ideas with namebio.com about how from my future site they can get traffic, with just by showing only a fraction of his information and everybody wins, I mean, for non domainers namebio data is unknown...but hey, it will expand or die like 99% of good projects.

What data do you want? I don't know why you would not contact Namebio @Michael is active and gets back to people. How are you going to help Namebio adapt?

Iโ€™m not sure Iโ€™m following this thread so correct me if Iโ€™m wrong. It sounds like you want to create a brand new site, and show data on it that other services spend their time and money collecting. But you want it for free and the only thing youโ€™re willing to offer in return is traffic, which a new site wouldnโ€™t have and most likely will never get. Thatโ€™s not a very compelling offer on your part, Iโ€™m not surprised people arenโ€™t responding, although it would be polite to at least say no. If you had contacted me I would have pointed you to our API.

Is there more to your idea than just aggregating several existing sites? Dofo does a really good job and we work with them, but thatโ€™s a huge and ambitious project that we could tell from day one would be a success. And when they reached out they already had something very impressive to show, not just an idea.

Thanks for replying I did not understand what the project was.
