Now i'm a bit of a macromeida fan - i use dreamweaver, flash and fireworks as my primary web dev tools - and i wanted a vector art program as compatible with flash as possible, so i thought i would start learning freehand rather than illustrator because its macromedia as well. Is this the right assumption to make? I've started learning freehand already but i'm having problems with it, namely creating objects with vector lines but being unable to colour fill them - i must be missing something not so obvious or/and the program is not v user friendly. I've also cut and pasted from freehand into flash and its not as good as i thought. Plus freehand won't read some eps files.
I want to reiterate my reasons for learning a vector art package - to improve my flash content - but if illustrator is much better than freehand to use even though it is probably less comaptible with flash, as long as i can still get ai content into flash i would rather use that. With this in mind can anyone give their opinion on what would be best to learn?
