Setup a poll for all members to vote..
Since there is so many members from all around the world in diffrent time zone..Perhaps all members shud vote to adjust the best time or maybe have 2 auctions at 2 diffrent time to suit two batch of timezone members so everybody can take part in it..l
ike me for instance..current auctions are held at EST 5pm wednesday.. n i have to stay up till 7 am my time in order to take part in the auction..i am sure some ppl around my time zone would like to participate however cant be awake at such time.. So now please vote ..Have anice day!

First poll is void because its quite limited so i am creating a new poll for 2hours gaps each choice..

My votes are pretty much the standard auction time anyways. It already works well for me.

I voted EST 1700 (5:00 PM EST, what it is now).

Understand, with this issue you really can't please everyone.

this poll is completely mis represented.

I am very well accustomed to the 24 hour time zone.
However, if you look around, when people use EST, they add AM/PM, not the 'military time' as it is known in the US, or normal time as it is known is Europe.

So.. I mistakenly voted for 1 and 3, thinking it was 1 and 3 PM since the other thread I visited had less times.
my fault for assuming, but it is NOT logical to use the 24 hour system in reference to EST. It is used with GMT.
I work a lot with time :)

Oops I voted for wrong ones... I mixed up AMs and PMs.

Anyways.

I can NEVER be on before 5PM

and I can NEVER be on after 9PM

If it's before or after... I'm ready for NP Stike! :hehe:

I am glad 1 PM EST is ahead so far.
it makes sense for everyone.
It can include the US and Europe, and many other countries in one go.
I just wish my vote would have gone there, were it not for the mixup...
I *know* it is impossible to please everyone, but it is possible to at least please the majority.
1 PM EST, gives a shot at all people in the US within reason (the 5 PM EST was like midnight for most Europeans), and can include so many.
more people in the auction=better auction for everyone.
We should think as a group.
Whats more inconvenient, 1 PM EST ( and add your PST etc...) or put your shoes in other people who whould have to go past midnight on a Wednesday.
Think about it...
it may not be ideal for everyone, but it sure will get the most # of people globaly.
I mean what is more inconvenient (think non selfishly), 1 PM EST (3 hours earlier PST) or have people from Europe/Africa/Middle East/Asia go way past midnight???

More people=more money.

There's no way this will work. At 1PM EST everyone is at school or work in the US, and if it's any other time the rest of the world (literally) is upset. The only way that will work is running an auction at the current time, and having one at a different time to satisfy the needs of non-US members. I'm trying to stay as open-minded as I can.

I voted for 15:00 - 17:00 EST as that is the best to time to include US and UK residents.

I vote 6 EST:

6am, 12pm, 6pm, 12am

I believe that covers all the possible hours around the world

Yes, and for those sellers that wish to have buyers from other parts of the world (or vice-versa), they can wake up at the time of the other auction and visit that one. It's the only way NP will satisfy the most people.

so which should be the winner? the mean, the median or the mode?

ooops ....

Just voted but got my time zones mixed up, based in the UK but used to dealing with Aus and got US time mixed up :)

Is there anyway to retract my vote and re-submit ?

All the best.

Richard
PS
In my defence I am in two poker games and it has gone 2.30 in the morning here :)

Whatever NP staff deems to be the best time, ultimately.

This poll isn't going to be the deciding factor but it might help the staff to see if they should change the times of auctions or add other times or etc, etc, etc.

As I and others stated in the other thread, you won't be able to please everyone no matter what.

Also, I still think that an email to all members that have the option checked in their profiles to get emails from staff should be sent and email a couple days prior to the actually auction date and time informing them of the date and time of the auction. I think that you'd see more participants if this was done.
