Great idea RJ,
I picked these 4 times...
Saturdays
Sundays
Start at 3PM PDT / 6PM EDT / 10PM UTC
Start at 5PM PDT / 7PM EDT / Midnight UTC
My problem with the other times is unfortunately work related.
I dont have access to a computer while at work. Just my droid but that seems like too much work to do many computer related things.
I would think most peoples schedules keep them at work til 4 or 5 pm-ish.
Being here in Chicago - 5pm would be 7pm California time so thats my reasoning for the later auction times that I would be available.
Now if we had a weekend (Sat or Sun) auction, I would definitely do my best to participate in that one also. We should have one as a trial.
A weekend may be better for our European domainers also. I just checked and England is 6 hours ahead of Chicago so noon here would be 6 pm over there...which leads me to another question - Where are most of the domainers here from? My guess would be the US and UK.
Another thing you should really push here is the NP Business and NP Supporter membership options. It really is a killer deal to pay only $5 per month to become a NP Supporter and to be able to add up to 8 domains in the auction rather than just the 2. If people had more in auction they would be more drawn into being a part of it, and would probably end up bidding in it too.
I'm not too sure about the extra benefits of becoming a Business member since that will also allow you 8 domains in auction too, but what if you offered everyone a few more domains to be able to list in auction for upgrading their memberships to "Business Member". I sure would pay $10 a month to be able to ad 10/12+ names to your auctions!
Sorry, just rambling here but yeah I would definitely love to take place in more auctions here, and changing the times would help me out a bit.
I should have added Friday for those later timed auctions I picked. The more I think of it Friday sounds like a great day to have a later (after work) auction. For most people they may not have to get up as early the next day...
Hope my rambling here helped a little bit.
Thx,
Vito
