I have 2 domains that are roughly the same.

filterspam.info

and

spam-filter.ws

Both have about 1.9 million searches everymonth :)

I am developing self help mini sites and I'm ready to start development on my "get rid of spam" site.

Which tld would be best for SE traffic and holding it's value in your opinion.

filterspam.info

- not good
.ws not good

your building a site that provides "information" on filtering spam which makes ".info" a good choice.

Great info. Thanks for the fast response. I was leaning towards the .info. :)

Even if the domains were identical except for the extension, I'd suggest the .INFO one over .WS anyday.

.INFO is truly a gTLD while .WS mascarades as one. ccTLDs are best avoided in most instances unless one is seeking to reach visitors of a particular country / region.

I would go with filterspam.info too but you already know that. :)

Though spam-filter.ws would definitely be much better for seo. Hmm.

hhhmm, that throws a spanner in the works as I was thinking of buying some .ws domains just for the keywords and availability of good names. :'(

I would go .info over .ws and you can buy .info cheaper on the ones you find available, they left these letters out in between the w and the s "orthles". :hehe:

Hmm, just throwing this out...

I have this .ws on my to-reg list for some time, the name's registered in almost all extensions (even .bz, .nu), not worth to get? :o

I would find a nice, brandable .com and dev that.

Why hamstring yourself and your efforts with an inferior *ld.

You can SEO anything, so you are better off with a .com in the long run.

IMO, .info is better than .ws anyday...

Good Idea. How about a 4 or 5 letter .com with a "S and F" in the name...

Spamj.com = Spam Junk

SpamV.com = Spam and Viruses

if you are just trying to monetize your domain inventory, then the .info is to be developed first & when you have extra time, you develop the .ws

if you are genuinely interested in the subject & trying to develop a website, then what "Source" had suggested is the way to go.

A self help mini site is perfect for the .info extension. .com doesn't make any sense to me for this project. I wouldn't recommend .ws for anything unless it was a popular two word phrase with the first word beginning "W" and the second word starting with an "S". Then I could understand the logic.
