I am thinking of subscribing to DomainsBot as they have a special going on. However, now I was wondering if some people could give me some insight on the experience they had with DomainsBot and/or Exody and maybe say which one they prefer and why. Thanks and I appreciate any replies :talk:

DomainsBot sounds great, but i think the price is to high :(

Exody hands down for list quality, if you can deal with the lack of interface.

domainsbot is only $99/year and exody is $35/mo. So I want to know if I go with domainsbot, will it be like cheap lists? I know exody has an excellent reputation, however I don't know about domainsbot. Any insight is appreciated.

Domainsbot gets their lists from exody. The biggest problem is that sometimes their database is not up to date with the latest lists.

I have a DB membership ... and it has served my needs well. They DO have lists that haven't been updated in a while, they ARE "second tier" IMHO to Exody. They ARE better than simple "DeletedDomains.com". For me, it's been worth the price ... basically the cost of one domain registration per month, and a very User-friendly interface/search and Daily Lists/Emails/Reminders. Well, that's my two cents, anyway. :)

thanks for all the replies. Just signed up for domainsbot. Yea I noticed they are using a script that adds a day to the special end date so people think the $99/year special is going to expire very soon. Oh well, for now its sufficient for me.

I think it's a good move for the price, Sponk ... truly. As I mentioned, it's no Exody ... but it sure as shoot beats DeletedDomains, etc. and it's easy to work with, IMHO.
Be sure to sign up for the *NEW* E-mail alerts to "Unexpected Daily Drops", some ain't bad recently.
PS. I have ZERO affiliation with DB, and simply paid $99 like the rest of the world. True. :)
See you.

www.DropFinder.com 99$/year all the time. Lists are good. I never used exody so I dont know. My only connection is I helped beta test it and it was great. I dont pay for any lists at the moment. Nice site, good interface. lists delivered twice a day right to your inbox. Top notch and low price.

yea, the lists are decent, except the link popularity lists. Most of the domains in that list have a link popularity of 0-80 according to Market Leap, and I thought high link popularity was 500+
Oh well, it's good for $99/year but yeah I figured that they are using a script that adds a day to the "sale" deadline. I bet many people get deceived by that and think that the deal's gonna be over in 2 days and then they buy quick, heh.

Likely, Sponk ... but luckily you had the info you needed from this thread to make an informed decision. Don't worry about the $99 thing, which has always been and will always be the actual price (IMHO) ... focus on finding some beauty domains from the lists, and then marketing and selling them to the best of your potential.
I am working on an (just one) .ORG found from DB right now ... to an End user $$! I will keep you posted on the outcome. :)

I like DomainsBot for their low price, unexpected drops list, dictionary soon, and Yahoo available lists. Register one or two a month from these lists and you will more than pay for your annual membership.
