This thread is a place to list all the names you have submitted for consideration at the Bido Social Auction platform. Find out the answers here.

Please only post lists of names here. Comments and discussion belong here. If your name was accepted by Bido, you can put **ACCEPTED** next to it.

lol Nice joke, kid, but April Fools hasn't come yet.

I refuse to list any of my good domains with BIDO. With the last auction ending at $2, it shows that $1/no reserve is a huge risk... albeit of course that the last domain sucked.

Makes it a self-fulfilling suicide, doesn't it? In this economy, and with Bido's record, who would risk a $1000 domain? But if no one is willing to risk a good domain, that just leaves the $2 kind.

Even with great domains, though, a 1-hour auction is far too limiting. What if only 5 interested bidders even look -- and none of them were willing to pay 50% of the domain's value? It's not a gamble I'll take.

I agree with you. The auction should be open for 24 hours in order to allow the full market an opportunity. Currently, who would submit a domain they paid $500 or $1000 for based on the bidding patterns so far?

Here are some domains I sent to Bido:

broadchest.com
browsershortcuts.com
behaviorcamp.com
betadiet.com
bonusgas.com
boycottiraq.com
boycottiran.com
confirmednews.com
confirmedreports.com
artificialoil.com
artificialsalt.com
artpride.com
artpunks.com
autosleep.com
avatarnow.com
ballpractice.com
beefwich.com
messydiapers.com
accountportfolio.com
builtinwifi.com
burgermeals.com

$100 at best to a reseller IMO

I think the sale prices have been fair for the sellers.

I'm assuming that most domainers check the site, so you can't blame low prices on a lack of exposure. Those domains are selling for fair market value, and in some cases maybe higher (the bad names) since they are getting more eyeballs than they would elsewhere.

What is an irrigator?

nasal irrigators? dental irrigators? I've never heard of an irrigator or irrigators used before.

I searched Google and all the ads on the right are the remnant purchases from Shopzilla, Amazon, Nextag...etc.

Does the name get type-ins and make money? It doesn't seem like a popular or well-searched term, IMO.

That said, do you think a domainer would want to bid on a name like this? No offense, but you said you submitted this to the Mardi Gras auction, and it was also rejected. (http://www.dotweekly.com/2009/02/24/aftermarketcom-to-hold-after-partyauction/)

With all respect, maybe you should take a step back and look at the name as a domainer. Perhaps you are a little too close to it as the domain owner to be impartial, but I don't think it's a valuable name that a domainer would want to buy.

This is a kind of good name, at least for a no reserve auction.

it's better than some of the recent names

Two thoughts: 1) you must not be a farmer. 2) If it's an auction only for domainers, it's doomed.

I live in Manhattan. The closest thing to a farm is Central Park.
