Which kind of sites to start with?

Hello everyone.

I am quite new to websites world. I want to start with my own website. Can anyone of you recomend that from which kind of sites should I start with?

A site that has something to do with the things you like. If you like basketball make a site about that, if you like movies make a site about movies.

have you experienced on web programing or not? if not, you better make some trial as a learning with making a website on free subdomain/hosting like geocities, atspace, and etc. then, when you feel experiences you can buy a domain
