I am a little biased, but my guess is that idn.cctld will become 'mainstream' next year. There are several reasons for this, including 'national pride' and the very great amount of $$$ that are currently being pumped in to promotion and general awareness of these domains.

Of course, in China idn.cctld and idn.idn are the same thing. What I think we can all agree on, however, is that whoever wins the idn.com vs idn.idn battle (next year) there will be some massive re-valuations taking place.

As ever, 'traffic' will be the main dictator of value and at present I am seeing a lot of 'positioning' taking place on this. Some are hedging their bets, others are going 100% one way or the other.

Either way, it's a 50/50 bet.. that will pay off very well for some..

One thing to remember is that IDN.IDN will be released a couple at a time. By the time most countries have their own IDN.IDN it may be 2015.
