I would definately go with the traffic name. You can monetize traffic. Short "brandable" names are everywhere. Simply because you CAN brand anything if you spend enough money and time.
Names are what can be branded or sold to large entrepranuers. example RoarYankees.com as brand name or traffic site nybaseball no question RoarYankees.com
you can sell a good brand name to weaker name traffic provider. if their traffic is real it is easy to maintain traffic and make a marketing move with better brand name nybaseball would love roaryankees or youryankees especially at fair price
if for reselling then go with the brandable name since that's what's important to domainers, keywords, keywords.
but if you tend to keep as your own go with the one with the traffic, (1) no one wants to buy it, you keep it for as long as you want, (2) in case you forget to renew, no one will snag it from you.

A domain with a terrible, reg fee name with TONS of traffic, or a short, brandable name with no traffic?
This would be for reselling purposes I will not establish the site.
