Which is affordable domain provider?

Hi. I'm planning to buy a domain name with shopping + abc(still not find out) for my perfume e-shop. My friend recommend godaddy provider. Any advices for me?

You need a domain and hosting plan that can include e-commerce. Domain will cost you around 8$/year, hosting is per month. Godaddy provides all you need in one place and can get cheap using promo codes. You can just google for promo codes.

How are your development skills? If you just want an all-in-one solution - look for a hosting plan with shopping cart support and some form of website-creation tool, for the quickest route to get started.

Some hosting companies also give a free domain with their hosting plans.

As Klem mentioned, GoDaddy always has deals going on - for both domains and hosting. You can also check the GoDaddy thread here on the forum for frequent promo codes.

I've not tried GoDaddy's Cloud Hosting but their free hosting (which I presume is similar to their paid hosting) is quite difficult to use compared to most hosting companies, cpanel option.

I think HostGator.com has some affordable cpanel plans. The only thing I didn't like about them was how difficult it was to quit the plan.

I would definitely NOT register my domain from the same place as my hosting.

So far Godaddy is the only registrar can offer below 9$ but using a discount coupon.

Godaddy discounts are normally only valid for the first year and after that you will get charged normal price, the savings will be a couple of dollars at most. I would not recommend GoDaddy to beginners because they make it very hard for people not to accidentally add something they don't need and end up getting charged extra.
