Which eCommerce Platform

Hi, I'm looking for some feedback/suggestions on what you guys feel is the best eCommerce platform to use, OS, Magento, etc. I know a lot of people feel that OS should not be used for various reasons, but from what I see OS basically offers all of the same tools that other platforms have, except everything with OS is free. The community version of Magento is pretty bare compared to OS IMO, so can different add-ons/modules be added to Magento without any extra fees. For example refer a friend and reward point modules, both of which can easily be installed on OS at no cost, can the same be done on the high-end platforms?

Basically I really want to use Magento, it’s a lot more professional, and consumers who know will respect it more so than an OS setup, but I don’t have the budget for the Enterprise version. So, what are your thoughts on the free version and what it has to offer compared to OS?

Have you looked at ZenCart? I have used it on a few project and it is easy to install, easy to populate, and looks very professional as well. There is also an active community of people to help guide you along.
