The Member 'CreedFeed' here told me about this package; "it’s an open source ecommerce package called Magento built using the Zend Framework"

We run our largest (about $15 million/year sales) eCom site using custom php on zend and we've been considering making an open source solution with those tools ourselves.

This looks like a very promising ecommerce package. Knowing how the Zend Framework is, the application should be very scalable as well. Can't wait for it to be released!

I work for an eCommerce company (not associated with Magento in any way, for the record) and the thing we most aim for is high conversions, which is pretty obvious in online sales...but there are so many sites that are totally missing the ball - can anyone else out there add anything about Magento? I'd love to get some inside info

they've released a screen of the demo home page which they say will be the first template...looks kick ass

the team promises a beta will be ready by the end of the month. i'm real psyched about this...I can't wait to dig into it and see how everything works...I'm really hoping it's friendly to non-developers!

Its Out!

Its available for download and I am downloading it as I write!

I have been using osCommerce since its 2.1 release... that project is totally dead in the water!

I took a look at the demo and its immediately apparent that its a far superior solution and makes the osCommerce development version look sick.

I am salivating as my download completes... cant wait to install it and give it a fly!
