contacting endusers would be for me.
you need to have much better domains to get random offers at Sedo than if searching for buyers yourself.

I've had best results from contacting end users. My emails are very short, to the point, convincing, and polite. I also start every email with: "This email is about an opportunity for you to upgrade to a premium domain name. If this email is of an inconvenience to you, we sincerely apologize. Please email us back with the code example and we will no longer send you any offers."

I'm a very picky domain buyer but when I find a domain name that I really like..I'll send out about 100 individual emails to TARGETED prospects.

Good luck.

I pretty much only sell domains to end users.

I think too much focus is placed on the pitch itself. The most important thing is buying domains end users would want.

I agree end user burnout by people offering subpar domains, most times the end users primary domain is better than what most people are offering, hence the rejection factor, quality over quantity!

Well I send ABOUT 100 emails. I search for 10 keywords that my domain is related to and then email the owners of the top 10 website results.

There isn't an established rate, really. Without getting into details, I've probably sent around 2,000 or so emails and I've sold 9 domains. Keep in mind though, that I only buy domains name that I have researched and find a great deal of value in, most cost $200 or more. I only buy domain names that I wouldn't mind holding onto for 3 years. If they don't sell at my margins, I develop more and try again. My methods of selling will not work as well for most domains that you can buy for under $100 or hand register.

Good Luck.
