just curious....he hasnt been on the forum for like 2 months... where did this dude disappear to?


isnt it interesting, how people on the interwebs are just there all the time one minute... and *poof* gone the next..... it happens pretty often, i imagine especially in a niche like "domaining"...

I wish hehe, for me its more of a hobby that takes money then earns it at this point but that is part of the strategy, buy low now, develop some, sell later.

Thanks for the thread MJ. I've been wondering what happened to Garrett as well. Let's hope he finds this and answers, as well as any other MIA members. I hope they are ok offline even if they have lost interest.

like i said, about 12 posts up... i called the # listed on the whois of some of his domains and all i got was "you have reached the sprint pcs mailbox of...."

only tried calling once...

he probably just lost interest and got swallowed up by the learning curve of domaining... throw in alternative TLD's like .mobi and you have yourself a recipe for potential disaster... lots of people have hundreds of these things that just totally suck or are of sub-par quality... still, if thats not what happened i hope the dude is okay.

A few weeks back I got sick and and was out of it. I let a couple of names drop that I thought I renewed and it crushed me. Two of my favs. A NPs member grabbed them and I just wanted quit!

I felt sooooooo bad and embarrassed I stayed away from NPs for a few days. I almost walked away from everything out of depression and anger with myself. I'm glad I just swallowed my pride .... I missed NPs like crazy.

And to touch on Reece's' comments. I wish I had found NPs many years ago. I wasted many domaining years with a half arsed approach. Let some beauties drop before I new the values.

I haven't heard anything from garett and am equally in the dark. It'd have been nice to know if something in real life was taking importance over domaining or if something happened to him...

There's alot of people I remember (and not just the mobi forum) being here a year ago and not being here today.

I can only guess that many of them came to domaining expecting to get rich like unfortunately many of the top domaining sites like to pretend is easy. They come here, learn it's not so easy, and that's the end of that... People who come here while having a stable full time job and approaching this as a hobby that may turn into more seem to stick around much longer from what I've seen.

True in my case.
