I know this has kind of been asked for pre-registration. I'm wondering about after the landrush begins - who is the least expensive reputable domain reseller to order .eu domain after the land runsh starts?

I use Godaddy, Enom, and namecheap at the moment.

Peace,
Tarry G

They will be $14.95 at Dotster, they claim it's the cheapest on the net... i've not used them before though so I don't know if they're any good.

Just submitted 3 .eu registrations there myself so, we'll see :)

i just got 6 .eus at godaddy for $68.50.

Go daddy is charging $14.95 now! I also used $20 off coupon for orders over 75.

Ive done this 3 times and hope to get some of them

Dotster lead me to believe my registrations wouldn't be submitted until the landrush period opens tomorrow - however I just got an email saying one of the 3 has failed? How can it fail if it has not even been submitted yet? :( No news on other two.

I predict stressful times ahead for us .eu grabbers! :o

Yes the $20 off coupon rules, just a shame godaddy put their price down a few hours after I preordered a load of .eu's :/

from the domaindevelopers.com site , which usually has up to minute domain news (it is owned by Rick Schwartz) ...

I found Eclipse Networking ...

actually yesterday it had an ad for 1000 free .eu (or other) domains to celebrate the .eu landrush .

Today they changed it to a 75% discount , therefore ยฃ4.99 (=$8.75 , with today's rate) .

Strangely , neither Eclipse Networking nor Kingston Communications (its parent company) are accredited registrars either in the ICANN list (for .com) or the EURid list (for .eu) . At least they were not found in a simple "Find (on this page)" search for "Eclipse" or "Kingston" on those pages . Eclipse Networking is a legitimate english company and a member and a tag holder of nominet (the .uk registry) . Maybe they are accredited for .com and .eu under a different name , have a partner company which is accredited or they have a bigger "mother" company (which is accredited) .

One more thing , I saw the 1000 free domains with my eyes and therefore (since they changed it to 75%) ...

- it was either a rather cunning trick to attract attention
- they decided not to spend the โ‚ฌ10,000 needed (EURid charges โ‚ฌ10 per domain)
- there was a flood of interest and they decided to back down or to make a profit out of it

Having said all that , I agree that cheaper is not always better and that registering in a small company demands for a big discussion (eg. trust , viability , push capabilities , prices after offers , transfer out costs , etc) .

But , I thought I mentioned this company since the original question was for the cheapest .eu .

I would suggest GoDaddy . even though I do not know how they will perform in the opening of the landrush (domaindiscount24 seems to have a rather good reputation for openings) , I am pretty sure they will do their best for fast registrations since every ony the get it's more profits for them .

Also , according to an email I received from GoDaddy support after a specific question for .co.uk pushes some time ago , they stated specifically ...

QUOTE
Thank you for your email. Any domain name you have registered with GoDaddy.com can be moved to any other customer account in our system. There is no charge for this process. To do this, please follow the directions below.
/QUOTE

Therefore , theoretically , this would apply to .eu too . On the other hand , I do not know whether the fee for .eu tranfers applies applies (EURid fees overview table) .

Regarding coupon usage , I asked (on the phone) a GoDaddy customer service agent specifically for GoDaddy coupons I saw on the net and his supervisor said that as long as I was made aware of a coupon I can use it .

The .eu landrush begins 07/04/2006 at ...

11:00 CEST (Belgian Time)

use this to calculate for the other time zones

That is about 8 hours from now ...

Gentlemen (... and Babes) start your engines !!!

Hi,

I tried the gdradio23 code at GoDaddy for 6 .eu domains. I do see the text: "Save $20 off your order of $75 or more." But the money is not deducted from the total price. Anyone else having the same problem?

Thanks.
