The longer you hang around the domain business, the more you learn that only a few good names are worth boatloads and everything else is worth less than $10,000.

$10,000 seems to be the point at which people won't buy your name just because they like it... It really has to have more than sentimental value to cross this line. Three or two letter dot coms and generic one word (or strong two word) dot coms are the key.
