Yes, big money now. Some people are naming their kids based on available domain names.

I almost bought Tihanna.com the other day, but someone beat me to it.

Sold wess dot org few days back to Mr. <First-name> Wess :)

Buying common and popular first/last names increases the likely hood of selling fast.
IMO

Thanks

They are worth a lot, in general, the more popular the name, the more its worth

a couple of examples

Tom.com
2,500,000 USD (way back in 1999)

Jasmin.com
310,250 USD (way back in 2006)

I have 1 first name in .com. Its not a popular one, though. It was first registered in 2001.

I have a bunch of first names. Some .com, some my country cctld.

I started acquiring names that are on my wife's babyname shortlist about 14 years ago as soon as we got serious about our relationship ;)

Some came with a hefty pricetag, some I was able to get for cheap. Mind you most were acquired over 10 years ago.

Anyway, yeah they're valuable, especially when it's a very common name.

Are they common english first names? They are super premium names if they are common fist names. Do you mind showing us what you have?

One is a common English name. Payed about 6k for it at the time I think. The others are less common worldwide but kinda common Dutch names.

As for sharing, I'd rather not as I keep them all private. They won't be for sale, or listed anywhere as they're currently all registered in my daughter's name and I respect her privacy.

That's why we named our daughter dghsushdhsgeg. It was very important we got her the .com haha

On a serious note, we named her Isla and the last time i inquired about the price for isla.com it was $390,000 which was slightly above my budget

i couldn't get a response from the people who owned my two kids .com version of their names.. lucky i named them after names i already had in .ME extension so it'll be okay. I did get an offer for 10k on one of their .ME name.. but the 3 year old said no.. and the older one said you better not dad...

haha.. kids know value and money is nothing to them ;)
