Hello, I'm new here and I would like to know how much this domain can be worth according to your experience. In my opinion it could be a good brand name for an insurance agency.

Domain: insrx.com

Thank you.

Reg fee unless the end user has built a company with those letters and is dying for that name imo

Thank you for your opinion.

What is the characteristic that makes it reg fee? For me seems like a good domain name, only 5 letters and in the insurance market. Can you kindly explain more?

NON-brandable...
That's why ~ regfee.

You will find just about the only 5L .com domains that aren't words that have any worth above reg fee are those that are at least pronounceable, like sisdy.com or zelks.com - those can become a recognizeable brand. 5 letters, that are a combination of 2 abbreviations, is a tough sell, unless they are for a company using those exact letters as @CryptoInvestor said. Good luck!

Thanks for your opinions, so you're saying it's a random domain name and it is difficult to pronounce?

In addition to this consideration in the domain in question there are 3 consonants nearby, is a further disadvantage?

I pretty much agree with that ^

Ask yourself these questions... Who would want to buy the domain? What type of business? What advantage would this domain give to a company? If you heard the domain on the radio would you remember it? Would you know how to spell it?

Or ask yourself - "What use could I have for this domain if I wanted to put a profitable website on it?"

If the answer is not very obvious - then the domain value is probably low to none.

Basically - Try to look at it from the "buyers" point of view - and generally it is easier to realize that not all domains are created equal. As domainers we can always say "this domain would be great for [x] type of company." But from the other side - the better question is if you owned [x] type of company would you choose that domain and what would you pay for it?

Exactly, first thing you should ask yourself is “Who will buy this and why?” For example, why would they buy INSRX com when they could buy InsureX, INSUR, ect. Chances are, if it IS an insurance entity buying the domain, they would have the power to buy a more fitting name. However, you can always try outbound marketing! I speak PURELY on speculation, prove me wrong and sell that domain to an insurance entity! Always try outbound before you give up on a domain :)

First offer received on Sedo (1500 $) after many months of parking. What do you think?
I've been lucky or there is value inside this domain name?

I think I will wait. Someone is saying right here my domain is worth just the reg fee and someone is making this high first bet on Sedo. I'm not a domainer and 1500 $ don't change my finance situation, so I will take time to investigate why this person is betting 30% of my price on Sedo.

I can be wrong but if someone makes such a high offer, there is probably an appetite for this domain, so waiting, maybe, I will feed this hunger. After all I acquired this domain because I believed in its potential.

Maybe someone with more experience than me can help me out.

@envos - My honest opinion. Accept the offer and hope they pay. Very easy to become "greedy" when you get an offer. Reality quickly sets in after after you don't accept or they don't pay.

@Michael M thanks for your opinion. From my point of view it's not about greed it's all about business. 1500$ is worth less than the lesson I can learn if I wait. It's the first offer I receive on Sedo and I know it could be a mistake, I know I can earn 0 dollars from this domain.

Domaining it's all about risk management no? Any kind of selling business it's like this.

In my opinion it does not seem wise to accept the first offer (low or high) because you can not have a reference in the market, you do not know what the fair value is.

In this case the time factor comes into play, who can wait can refuse offers, who can not do it is forced to accept the first. At the moment I can wait and I think I'll wait.

Do you think I'm completely wrong? Then argue why I should accept (besides greed). I want to learn as much as possible from experienced domainers but first I need to understand.
