Hey guys, storytime thread 😄

We've all been there. You get a low offer, you're tired of paying renewals, you tell yourself "eh it's not that great anyway" — and you accept. Then a few months later you see the same domain flipped for 10x or being used by a funded startup and you just sit there staring at the screen.

I'll start: I let go of a clean two-word .com a couple years back for $120. Thought I was being smart, taking the quick win. Domain sold again within 8 months for just under $4,000. I still think about it 😂

It happens to everyone I think — especially when you're earlier in the game and just want to see some money coming in. Patience is honestly one of the hardest skills to develop in this business.

So let's hear it — what's your biggest "why did I do that" sale?

  • How much did you sell for?
  • What do you think it was actually worth?
  • Did you find out what happened to it after?
No judgment here, we've all taken a loss we didn't have to. If anything it's a good reminder of why holding out for the right buyer matters.
