What's Happening To NNNN.net Domains?

Hi, I'm getting lots of offers on my NNNN.net domains for past couple of days and sold one already @ Sedo for mid XXX. Few months back I couldn't even sell them for $50 and now the craze.

It might be due to the NNNN.com price rise and NNNNN.com buyout. But this is not the 1st time NNNNN.com buyout happened. Any ideas?

some friendly advice, grab the cash while its hot, LLL.com prices have been tanking, 3 months ago guy turned down 26k for a LLL.com now after 2 times trying he cant even get half lol

When there is a craze take advantage of it, the greed of hey what if it goes up ends up biting more people in the azz than it does good

Sorry but whatever happened there yesterday means nothing to the lll.com market. If thats what you think then youve got a lot to learn about domaining. Why dont you go find 10-20 random lll.com owners that are selling, tell them what you just told me in your previous post and see how much of a discount you get. Do you think any lll.com owner who was watching that auction yesterday and seen the final results said to themselves "damn i better sell now while there is still some value left"...not a chance.

instead of arguing and spending 30 minutes gathering links to show you the price drops inclduing the lll.com that closed yesterday with reserve met on gd for 5500 and so much more ill simply bump this thread in 2 months, at that time even you will understand what I said.

I have been doing this for 12 years, by now I recognize patterns pretty well, if the recent oversee / nj, bd and heritage auction results didnt tell you the current state of affairs, time sure will.

I get daily NNNN.net email offers. They are on fire in Asia right now. My account at 4.cn gets about 10 or so offers a day, and I have a minimum bid price of $200 USD.

Last week I sold <8857 dot net> for $1.5K USD. Earlier this year I was selling random combos (without premium numbers) for $300-$500 on 4.cn. I no longer plan on letting them go for less than four figures each.

If the demand dries up, so be it. But the numeric market has always been much, much, much different from other domain segments and I don't think demand is going any direction other than upward from here. Just my opinion, which is bolstered by the fact I control a decent percentage of the NNNN.net supply.

:imho:

Congrats on the sale of 8857, i agree the numerics market has always been different, nnnn.nets and nnnnn.coms are a definate buy and hold right now.

Thanks. And I agree with you on 4N.net and 5N.com names.

I just so happened to sell a NNNNN.com recently (00098 dot com for ยฅ5,000 RMB, which translates to $806.442 USD). That was sold at 4.cn.

Just like the 4N.nets, I don't plan on selling anymore 5N.com for less than four figures, and the ones that are decent Zip Codes will be priced higher as well. :P

part of a bubble, especially with the NNNN.com crazy fuelled by chinese buyers.

this could be the best year in a long time to sell this kind of domains

in every bubble many have an oportunity to make big money, but greed overrides it all and they are left holding the bag and telling stores for the rest of their life that start with "I could of sold.... for XXXXX but I held on to it for dear life like a putz, thats why im changing my own diapers now"

fools and no argument helps with these brokesters

I remember when I was called a fool for buying nearly every expired NNNN.com at Enom's Club Drop for $6.95 each and holding them for many, many, many years.

Good Times.

you have one of the ingredients to success. now you need the other to be complete: sell when prices go hyperbolic and you don't see almost anyone questioning the trend ;)

LOL. I don't "need" the other because I have sold hundreds of NNNN.com over the years at a massive increase.

Just as I am selling my NNNN.nets and NNNNN.coms when the offers come in to my satisfaction.

My point was people were saying NNNN.com peaked when they were trading at $100 or $300 or $500. Each time the peanut gallery was wrong. Dead wrong.

So many domainers have given free advice regarding numeric domains over the last 10-15 years despite never owning or investing in numbers domains. Overall they haven't had a clue about which they are talking about.

This current situation isn't that difficult to analyze. Let's start with the basics:

1) NNNN dot net domains sell for $XX on the Western domain forums to other resellers.

2) NNNN dot net domains have sold for $100 - $400 regularly on the Asian reseller marketplace for a long period of time as they have been perpetually in demand (for as long as I can remember).

3) Lately, NNNN.net domain owners are getting increased inquiries for selling their domains via email and via direct offers on sales platforms.

If this is what the traditional domainer, who doesn't own numerics or hasn't followed numerics closely for many years, considers a "bubble" -- the downside to not cashing in now is minimal. Conversely, the upside has much room to grow.

Good luck to everyone.

now you ruined it :)
but this is another thing that only time will tell. good luck!
