What would you pay for a one dictionary word domain (extension .co.uk), receiving between 400 and 500 unique visitors a month from type-in traffic only?

You're probably only saying so cause you own it ;)

Sadly not, but going by similar style names etc that price would not be miles off assuming normal sale.

If you can sneek in with £500 and nab it you will be turning a decent profit on the flip!

That's a good amount of unique visitors for type-in traffic only. I usually only buy new domains or really awesome dropped domains.
I've been burned too many times by people that I just wouldn't trust the other party.
The fact that the domain is a .co.uk domain doesn't help though. I'm not into anything but .com, .net and .info.

.co.uk helps it alot in my view :)

Likewise I think .info are complete junk names, but hey it seems different people think different things  In terms of this thread I do not see how .co.uk is an issue at all, but I can see how it would be a major benefit :)

Cheers,
Rob.

I would consider your view a bit biased :) Even your name on the forum includes the .co.uk :)

I hardly hide it :)

The point is, for a .co.uk name the extension does not hurt it at all, as was posted:

It is a common theme on NamePro's that people comment outside their knowledge area giving incorrect advice and or 'valuations'.

Generally speaking I try not to comment when I do not have a solid foundation for what I say and I wish others would do the same :)

Traffic can be bought now a day, dictionary domain names are not rare, there's plenty of them. I would be very careful when buying traffic names, it could be a seller's strategy to hit and run, basically pay for traffic with clicks and sell it at 10X or 5X revenue.

Imagine, if you bought traffic from 10 different companies at 20/mo, there'll be clicks alright. But once the service is sold to you (buyer) traffic might dry up.

I have another question for all you experts, as I am still undecided on the purchase of this domain...

Basically, I own the .me version of the domain, which I have developped into a full site.
If I were to purchase the .co.uk , should I redirect it to the .me site, or should I transfer the whole site to the .co.uk domain (given that the .me has just been launched, it isn't getting any significant traffic yet so this could easly be done...)
