Please vote and mention why?

Do you think financial events like Chinese market fluctuation and possibilities of Grexit influence the floor price of LLLL.com?

Please vote for what it will be, not what you would like it to be. ;)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I voted for 131+ even though I expect that price, possibly, by the end of autumn. I may have been too conservative with my vote.

Yeah, maybe the price range should like this, $10 is far to small

0-150
150-300
300-500
500-750
750-1000
1000-2000

They allow everyone to get online. For example, Flipkart.com subsidary, myntra.com ( an fashion e-commerce company in India), now operates only through mobile app!!! They closed their website and prompt visitors to download the app.

Owning your exact match .COM in business is still very important.

They operate through a mobile app, but I don't think most people understand that mobile apps run mostly off of domains; they are just wrapped into a container to fit mobile within the app.

In addition, myntra.com looks like it is still up and running online; they just want you to use their app.

There are pros and cons to this, obviously the most beneficial aspect of using an app is that you can send 'push notifications' to your user base. They will still use the @myntra.com email address for services.

With that said...

I think the floor of 4L's next year will be $100; they almost have to be due to the recent acquisition prices across the board.

Many 4L's I picked up in 2013 I acquired for $20, including many 'pinyin' friendly domains that are now selling for $400+ here on forums. The most expensive 4L's that I bought was one for $800 because it had a very specific configuration for a target industry, and another for $500 because it had an actual monthly exact match SV of 60,000 (yes there was seller remorse).

At their current prices, I'm not all that into 4L's, as there are many more niches where the names are cheaper and the return can be quite higher.

Not planning on buying any time soon. So have some of mine :) (see signature)

Insults? I did not insult anybody.
Being un-informed is simply a fact and I supported my statement with real sales of the so called "crappy letters" which so many people have been brainwashed by others to believe that some letters are "crappy". BS.
Bring me anytime 4 figures for each "crappy" LLLL.com sale and I would not give a rat about what people think about the quality of those letters.
Demand and offer decides the price and no the lowest is not $12, the lowest is zero.

First, calling me or any other user here uninformed by presenting unrelated facts to the original question (OP's question was about the FLOOR price) is an insult, yes.

Second, as I stated before, you just showed 'average' or even 'good' sales, what's the floor price according to you? You didn't even have the decency to answer the question as it was asked, instead you answered an imaginary question that it was only in your head

Third, 'crappy' letters? who talked about 'crappy' letters in this thread? You say they are bad, I say they are good... what's your point? Please stay to the point.

Fourth and last, I personally have purchased 4Ls for $18-$22 and I recently acquired a VCVC for $50 which is currently on sale for 2.4k on Brandbucket.
If that sale happens then I will have made a rather *Good* sale with a domain I bought for *Floor* price.... got that?

Note: I tried to find the $12 sale I mentioned earlier but I couldn't... I found a $15 sale though: XCQV was sold on Nov 7th and a $18 sale: IXYV was sold on Jan 8th

imo, since there are sales that low, then floor price can't go higher than low $xx, no matter how positively some people want to sound.

So if everything goes to sh*t, you think your precious .com is going to shine on brightly? Domains aren't impervious to financial market/global economic conditions.

Nothing is impervious to a complete breakdown of society, however I feel domains and Internet businesses are more threatened by a carrington type event knocking the world offline. What happens if all computers and grid electricity go off for months?

%33 said that it will be 80 or less during the start of next year.

I have voted for 101-110.

Now let's come back to this thread on 1st Jan and see! :D

It is really about "What will be the floor for the worst possible 4L" ... no premium.

Floor price was the keyword here

imo, since there are sales that low, then floor price can't go higher than low $xx

Next poll, I will use the word AVERAGE price :)

@DoumB21 will buy any 4l com for 60/65, so that's the floor now ;)

What happens if all computers and grid electricity go off for months?

No electricity? domains or Internet would be last thing I would worry about .... :xf.grin: ... Wait till all transport is EV.

but for now, I will worry about buying 4L's at @DoumB21 floor + $5 price ;)

Wonder who has the most 4l's @DotCN or @DoumB21? Is there someone else? That person would know the real floor!

I was replying to him. You got in the middle.

On the other hand, cherry picking the sales with the data you presented doesn't reflect reality. You have to take into account the $xx sales along with the lottery wins.

I did not state that it was the floor price, just using those recent sales to point out that "crappy letters" is BS.

I wonder what I did to you to be used as a mockery in your post like that.

I wonder what I did to you to be used as a mockery in your post like that.

@DoumB21 ( CC: @DotCN ) That was not mockery, that was appreciation of someone who has knowledge. I apologize if my post sounds flippant. I was referring to your post Buying LLLL.com - I accept vowels and Vs.

Here is a part of it........
4 Letters and .com only.

Paying between 60 and 65 per domain in a bulk transaction.
  • 60 for domains expiring in less than 2 months.
  • 65 for domains expiring in more than 2 months.
The letters do not matter. I will buy any 4L names. Sell me your junk if you want.

Your post was one of the main points that gave me confidence to decide the price I want to pay for any LLLL.com. If someone knowledgeable will buy any LLLL.com for 60/65, than a newbie like me has no problem buying a few LLLL at +5$ of their bulk price. See my bids for LLLL at namepro. I am dipping my toe in LLLL, I am comfortable with $70 for QOXT auction here at NP, based on your 'confidence'. I know I could have bid less but I am fine upto $70 as I plan to hold.

As to reference to @DotCN and you for most LLLL.com's, I assume you must have a good stash if you have confidence to buy in bulk. I saw DotCN's site for LLLL and it is quite impressive. I am curious who has tons of LLLL of at NP. You are the guys one need to follow and learn from as you know this niche.

I hope this clarifies. If not, @DoumB21 ( as well as @DotCN ) , please PM or please ask here. I would have never thought my appreciation for both of you would be taken in wrong way by anyone, so I am glad you were upfront and thank you for posting what you felt, rather than it leaving a sour taste for you, which would impact my possible future interaction with either of you, and specially when I would not have any idea of how you felt over my post.

Ok. Thanks for that reply. I have seen mockery where there was not then.
But I am the newbie here, that is why I reacted that way. I have only been buying 4L domains for 1 month so I am really not one to be considered as a "source".

No problem :)

Acturally I am buying new LLLL.coms like you this few months. Most of them are Chinese premium LLLL.com at an average price of $200~300 USD. As long as you could keep it for a few years, not for just a few months, I believe you would get much more than you are expecting now.

And about the "floor price", I selected 101~110, just because I believe the worst LLLL.com worth $100. :)

Remember that the crappy letters from before are "premium" now :)
I have quite a few and I receive at least mid three figure offers for names with any letters.

That may be so, but crappy letter llll.coms will still sell for low to mid xxx, whereas people are saying they will go for thousands, which is not the case unless you get lucky, the stats/sales above indicate that

Considering most re-seller markets floor of LLLL.com is around $70. But depending on the marketplace the floor could change. Godaddy expired auction floor is around $80 - $90.

Interesting insights there! Thanks!
Current floor price ( for any, so called crappy / sh*t LLLL) - 75$
2014 July - $15 to $ 20 (Bought some LLLL domains from GD closeout for $8 + Renewal $8)
By 2016 July It would be at least - $150 to $200
Lets check this thread after a year, my price may match or not, but sure it will grow rapidly :)
BTW, Voted for $201 or more ;)

OK I am bumping this thread two months early, I was curious about current (May 2016) prices and I wanted to see maybe how long sellers had been holding on, generally, when I see auctions the current registration dates are 2007-1009 ish, most had history before that but were dropped, and nicer ones of course had no drops.

So for those who were part of this thread a year ago, did you take action to get more 4L? Are you selling now? Are you holding longer? Would you buy now at current prices in the hope the upward trend will continue?
