What time of day do domain names drop?

I've heard that .com's drop between 6:30am and 6:45am Eastern time.

Is there any truth to this? Do .net's and .org's drop at the same time as .com's? Thanks.

.com and .net domains are released by the VeriSign registry at around 1-2PM
EST. It used to be in their site but it's gone for some reason.

I'm not sure about the other extensions. But from other forums, they appear
to be the same, taking their cue from VeriSign.
