Just curious if anyone knows what time .net's drop? Is it the same time as .com's usuallly or what?

Same time as .coms beginning at 2pm EST.

Oh okay thanks. Any idea when it ends?

I'm keeping my eye on VAILVALLEYCOLORADOPROPERTIES.NET
It's meant to drop today (the 4th), but still it hasn't.

I don't want it, I just think it's a good way of seeing what time it becomes available to register.

Although... Could it have dropped already??
I know it says "Pending Delete" on whois.sc, but it also says that the domain was created TODAY. As well as that, it says "No match for domain "VAILVALLEYCOLORADOPROPERTIES.NET"

hm..

I think it's being tasted by snapnames now.
PS: all dropping .com/.net are caught by tasting registrars or backorders.
The odds of catching a decent name by hand are slim ^^

How long would snapnames hold it for if there's no bids for it?

Whois.sc is not a real time whois record. They are more that 1-2 days behind in many cases. VeriSign holds the real info for .com and .net. If tasted, it will typically be held for 4 days and picked up again, and again, etc. You may not see it for 40 days or so on the market. Good luck.

Oh okay, thanks. I'll use VeriSign's whois from now on.

I have noticed that ENOM has quite a few of the deleting domains I was looking at.. I'm not familiar with ENOM.. Will they be "tasting"* also?

I suppose I'll just have to keep checking the Verisign info every 4 or so days and try to catch the domains if/when they're made available.

It would be released within the 5 days grace period. Unless they keep it to themselves. Also it can be picked up by another taster again and again...
