Sometimes you get disappointed - and it was today - thank god for whois....

Did my search at NN and found this (see attachment) - could not believe what I saw - I thought that I have a found a nugget - pulled myself together and checked a whois and got disappointed buuuhuuu!

But life goes on

Ouch. This happens to all of us, just one of those times where you gotta get over it, like you said.

I was crushed when I thought that News.ws was available because of Godaddy's shoddy whois.

I have this sometimes with whois.sc, check http://whois.sc/laon.com

when laon.com sold on snapnames for $xxxxxx,
I checked whois.sc and "wow laon.info is not taken!!"

Eh, once I run a script to find all available 3char .com (Although I knew none was available) and the script found 3 .. Then did whois again and nothing :\

This happens to me all the time. As much as I love moniker's live availability checker, none of them are 100% accurate. I find domains daily that I want to register that are in fact, taken.

Yeah, I've had that happen quite a few times. Yahoo! Domains is the worst about it, too. Man, that would be a gem though! :D

Happened to me once to godaddy showed to me that lol.de was available boooo

Happens to me almost every time using Domain Tools Bulk Check. I input a list of the top keywords, and it tells me names such as "golf.info" and "games.info" are available. Quickly, I go to my domain registrar not being able to believe my eyes...then disappointment. Even now, it still states that those names are available to register. Bizarre! :hehe:
