I don't know if there was anyone had asked it before, if so, forgive me.

My question is what search terms do you type in the search box while doing a searh, I mean do you input key1-key2(and "key1 key2" as well) or key1 key2 mostly?

If key1-key2(and "key1 key2" as well) is input with, then the search results will return just as the exactly terms you are searching for, and if key1 key2 is input with, any webs which have key1 and key2 will return , right?

thanks

Thats correct, i normally search without quotes and rarely click any result after the second page, i prefer to try another search term.

My advice is to target niches, 2 or more words keywords.

Agree, I try these combinations, and usually don't go further than the 2nd page. Never use quotes as well.

I also do not use quotations on first time but if I don't find desired thing in first attempt, I simply use quotations for more targeted results.

so it is definitely better to optimize a site for a long tail keyword, of 2 or more words all together.

Depends on situation and what i'm looking. Sometoimes I use a lot of methods.

I start off without quotes.

If I don't find what I'm looking for, my next step is usually to add more keywords.

If that doesn't work, I may try using quotation marks.

I never use hyphens in search queries. Does anyone?
