It is quite a dilemma.

Everyone wants to buy sites that are earning.
If site is earning then why would a guy sell it himself.

So there are only some cases.
- The owner needs money fast.
- If you are just looking to make fast money by selling established sites then you will have to establish a site first. And I think for that you might be knowing how to do that or you can also put a thread on establishing sites from ground up.

People don't like particular site this or that.

But most of them like 0% maintenance site. With good earning.

Normally the prices are around 12 to 36 months or revenue. 36 months revenue if you find a good buyer.

Thanks.

At the moment the hottest high-end selling sites seem to be sites that are driven by ugc (user generated content).

For example in the last year or so youtube.com purchased by google, del.icio.us purchased by yahoo.com, and now their is a bidding war for digg.com, yet another ugc based site, between google and microsoft.

There is no bidding war on digg, check out their official blog, its all bs. (http://blog.digg.com/?p=114)

Sites that sell well - unique, niche revenue making sites always do well, script selling businesses as well imo. But the scripts have to be somewhat unique and of course secure and well written.

Sites that don't sell well at the moment include proxies, myspace type sites, arcades and article sites. The market for those has been saturated.

I have to agree with this one. A lot of people are thinking they would make big $$$ with very little investment.
