Exactly. Sometimes I wondered why they say handreg is not a good way to go but still handreg covers most of reported sales in the domain sales thread.
Though it is also true that most good dictionary word and two words killer domains have all long been handregistered. But there are still some gems if only you can dig deeper and also be on alerts in case new tech surfaces

There are bunch of aged domains selling for a loss on the aftermarket based on their age and annual cost.
That's not what I'm interested to know. On the other hand, knowing your own oldest hand reg. would give us better domains to review on this thread.

i weiqi (.)com is my oldest one, hand reg by myself at 2005...still remember, one day, I checked it, found someone just regged it for hours....half or one day later, for some reason, I run the software call dna again, found it registable.....I totally confused at that moment, after that I somehow aware there is so called domain taste...I guess it is the reason...I just check the domain history, but didnot found the record to prove above story, but that is indeed the story in my mind/memory...

this is a great name for Go(the Go of AlphaGo I means, weiqi=Go in chinese), just did not get a good chance or skill to dev it yet....what a pity....

btw, back to that time, i+keyword or e+keyword is quite common practise...not sure today...
