I had a very bad experience after selling some names at Namejet and I had to knock their doors for more than 3 months to get paid. So I thought I would never sell over there again[PERIOD].

I had no complains while buying names at Namejet until now. I bought a domain name on Oct 30th and I am still waiting for it. I sent a few emails and called them but looks like they don't care.

Has the management changed at Namejet?

Got a reply, auction up. Got my money back from Pheenix today as well. There is hope in the world.

Since Laurie left, NJ has become a very unreliable place to use. I stopped using it in the past year after their support ignored an email I sent and after reading horror stories here at NP. Good thing NamesCon aren't using them next year for the auction.

Things seem slower. My auction request has been a week now, no response yet. I had another question I asked a few weeks ago, nothing. I'm wondering if there are some issues with the transition to Network Solutions from Enom. The emails I get still say Enom but it's supposed to go to Netsol now. Talking about the transfers after you sell a domain. I'm wondering if people are transferring to the wrong registrar.

They should have an active Namejet rep here. Either hire somebody or assign that task to somebody. There has been some in the past but I mean active. Swing by once a day, tackle any questions.

Since Laurie left, Nick is the one who run the whole "customer service" and I remember when Nick left to vacation, no one else took over his job for the entire week. I don't blame Nick, but NameJet.

NameJet is based out of Seattle, the phone number used to route there, I don’t think anyone even works in that office anymore, everything has probably been outsourced, and automated.

Right now they have taken a lot of money, and not delivered a good portion of names for the prior month.

I myself have a 4 figure amount owing from them this at this point. Basically the contract is not complete until they deliver the name. To procure funds for something you fail to deliver can be considered fraud if funds are not returned.

The fact they are not taking support seriously does not bode well either.

Namejet has been stripped down, and everything has been outsourced to other web depts, such as support etc... on paper these things always run smoothly when management cuts costs etc... but it looks to be not working out so well in reality.

I believe the only known employee Jonathan T, was promoted to head of privacy, or something to their Florida operations, and I guess he moved on. So basically now you have to deal with a call center in Newfoundland, basically on the other side of the continent from where NameJet is based.

They want to run this thing like a cash cow, fully automated, with little overhead as possible, but to many negative experiences. I have been waiting on a purchase to transfer for 3 weeks, mid $xxx, I don’t even bother anymore, just not worth the work, give them a month, before I waste my time calling 3x before they do anything about anything.

I too had a similar experience. I didn't have a problem reaching my contacts there, but I felt I was getting the runaround about when I would receive payment.

I finally did get payment. It was about 3 weeks late. It was the first time ever that payment was late. Always had been like clockwork.

I know they are doing some restructuring. I do watch the daily reported sales reports and they are still selling names daily.

For me, it changed when Lauri left. Now that web.com is changing them around, not sure what the future holds. Could be good, could be bad.

Sold some names 5 months ago on NJ and get paid almost 4 months later.
They have some issues during this transition to NetSol for sure. Now I don't send names there anymore, waiting to sort up those issues and I will send my names again once when they start to be what they used to be.

I have email address of their business services But no use. They are not responding to emails..

That doesn't sound good. I have paid for a won auction some time ago, but not updates at all. I hadn't used NameJet for a long time before that. I guess I should have stayed away...

It seems their Support Centre is finally back online again. But whether they reply to tickets I don't know.

I have been waiting for a won name for weeks and finally got an update (but not the name yet) from a Tim M. using an @web.com email address, so maybe he is the primary person now?

In any case, I have no intention of buying more names there under the current circumstances. So I guess their plan to cost-safe and make NameJet an automated cash cow will backfire if many of us give up on them...

What a piece of shit this NameJet has become. Now the site is riddled with people selling names they don't own. I have identified two domains of mine being sold on the platform without my knowledge.

It seems they go down the drain... Rapidly

Once Laurie left it became a mess. Nothing gets done responses are super slow They lost enom. Probably going to lose netsol too. Definitely losing sellers interest due to response time. Its a shame. I used to love Namejet.

Been with NJ for more than 5 years and they were always on time in payment. But since this year I Sold one domain in NJ on end of August.. Yet to get payment on the same.. One of the support person said payment got released last month 24th itself but I still haven't got it.. usually it takes only 3 days for international payment to get reflected iny account.. No response from support person since then

NameJet still not worth a shot?

Their so-called "customer service" is still absolutely horrible. Waiting for one domain I won for over a month now, and they simply don't reply to support tickets. Things were bad long before Covid, so it's probably even worse now...

They seem busy switching from enom to netsol. I have sold some domains on namejet and got payment on time i.e 16th of each month.Hope they will be back on track soon.

What date of this month did you submit it ? Now domain names have listed ?

Submitted on 19th, live on 26th. I think they're just extra busy with the changeover of registrars. I've read some people having payment issues, luckily I haven't had those issues myself. I get paid regularly every month.

Used to deal with Laurie before and everything was fast and on time. But now, everything seems to be in slow motion.

I just talked to namejet, supposedly one seller who is not sending their domains over, I also got a hold of that party, and they say the transfer system is broken, so it is a case of he said she said, not sure maybe he isn't happy with some of the prices achieved, maybe their financial picture changed, but namejet said they are getting close to the point where they will be cancelling the auctions, and issuing refunds, and banning the seller.
