I would suggest you to check out e107. Although it is not as old as drupal or joomla but I like it much better and I feel it might also fulfill your requirements.

I would check out www.dragonflycms.com aka www.cpgnuke.com

It's the same website, same CMS. The safest one out there and probably the fastest. Really customizable as well.

e107 is the one for what u want but its very difficul to learn.
Joomla is the most convenient and to tell you the truth i already know a template and a component that could work for you.

Try Wordpress, with a bit of "modifying" it could accomplish that.
