Hello,
I would like to ask how what is procedure of backorders of com domain and if is the same in all services or not...

I saw that in some services are rule that domain will get somebody who have most quick backorder (service Epik).
But for example Godaddy have rules that all expired domains will go to auction.

What rules are in your service? Are rules of com backorder different in some services?
Thank you

Hello,

Each service has its own procedure.
As you said, here at Epik, it's first-come-first-served. Multiple backorders can be placed on the same domain, but the first active backorder will get the domain if we catch it. The amount of backorders placed on a given domain is shown at the time of placing the order, that way you can check if you are the first one or not directly.

Other services typically have a different procedure,
The most used is the following:
- If there is only one backorder, the user gets the domain directly
- If there are two or more backorders, the name is auctionned.

Depending on the platform, the auction may be public (Dropcatch for example) or private, between all users who backordered the name in the first place (Namejet/Snapnames for example).
