Number of backlinks: The number of unique backlinks website has established on higher authority website.
Internal Linking Structure: This is to improve the user experience on your website.
Loading speed of your pages: The faster the loading of pages in the website better the bounce rate and user experience.
The number of comments on the content: The content should be shared on social media and users should be encouraged to comment, like and share.

Hello kennylordsmith . As Adrian explain it very well about Domain Authority. I would like to add a little bit: that any particular website get its DA level high by different means like in search engine optimization we called this process " Off-page SEO" . By doing off-page SEO we generate back-links from other websites and in the reward the DA of website increased because the domain get more authority by the quality back-links we just have made. The other fact is that the DA of any website should have drop down chances if violating original "White-hat SEO" practices. A term " Black Hat SEO" is like a shortcut to do spam to get more authority for website but ultimately search engine put forwards a penalty on that website, in the last the domain lost his worth/authority.
