It has been 35 years since the first.com domain name was registered on March 15, 1985.However, in the highly developed Internet today, we just randomly grab a person and ask: Do you know the domain name?
Nine out of ten do not know, and one may know the domain name, but do not know the domain name can be invested, can make money.

  • Why domain name industry is always sluggish??
I think, it is not the way of popular science has a problem, it is not to cultivate the relationship of the market, but the domain name involved in the scope of knowledge is too wide, knowledge too much, it is not like a stock, red and green two lines who can understand, even if do not understand can also follow the group of people to buy.
But, really understand the domain name, understand the domain name investment, they just know the domain name investment in the end how "sweet".
what do you think of it? please let me know:xf.smile:
thanks for your sharing

  • Ha, ha, ha, that's ok
  • For domainers, domain names are very attractive

  • But for those who don't know the domain name, how can we make them understand the industry:xf.frown:

To me, a domain is an address in the digital world, such as Taobao.com for 205.204.101.142. It consists of a name and an extension: Taobao.com.

A domain name is an identification string that defines a realm of administrative autonomy, authority or control within the Internet. Domain names are used in various networking contexts and for application-specific naming and addressing purposes

A domain name is so many things; but mainly for me, adapted from the words of Marshall McLuhan:

A domain name is both the medium and the message.

It represents an opportunity to convey a brand, while being the brand. Though, in its simplest form, a domain name is the address or tool which we use as a digital resolution. To some it can be an artform, others a source of revenue, others still a means to an end: bringing something in a way anyone can access across the globe.

Yes it can mean and include allot of different words but have same meaning, i see a Domain as a digital Place > Area > Region > Realm > World > Space > Zone > Room > Base > Environment > Dimension > Foundation > Field > Ground > Territory > Establishment > Camp > Terrain > Nature or Site on Internet.
People don't see value in domain name because of Facebook monster is becoming slowly the Internet.
