A developed site called fareauioafsdf80d9f8as09d8fasd.info is obviously not as valuable as one called love.com.

Beyond the name, the theme and content also greatly will determine the value. So long story short, without any more details it would be to hard to tell you what it is worth.

a developed site is worth the same amount as a blue car.

Most people will use revenue to determine the value of a developed site. They will also consider what it takes to keep running the site, ect. A Site that requires no additional time, and just makes money is an easy investment compared to one which requires work!

Is this thing bringing in any rev? I believe right now most people are paying 12-18 months revenue on these types of sites... perhaps more if its well established and old

Good luck,
Justin

I personally look at 2-4 years of income (revenue - expenses), but that again is dependent on the site and how much time is required to maintain that level of income.

Also the attractiveness and "stickiness" of the site plays a big part, does it have something that will keep users and bring more users in, like a well established forum or a gimmicky technology, or is pretty standard and in a arena with many similar competitors?

The domain name is also a big part of the equation, as someone mentioned above, is it something that is easy to remember and flexible enough to be used to grow the site and still remain relevant.

And finally Traffic is one of the most important aspects of the site. This not only plays a big part in revenue, but also in flexability.

These are just some of the things I look at when I either buy a site or develop one to be sold, I hope they help.
