What happens to unsold domains at NameJet?

I'm looking at an eNom regged domain. It's currently on NameJet with no bids. What happens to an eNom regged domain with no bids on NameJet? Does it get dropped, or do eNom keep it for another year? (I ask because usually eNom's policy is to renew all expiring domains and keep them for RGP or themselves).

The domains should drop but they might decide to keep certain domains.

I agree, it "should" follow the normal drop process if no bids are placed if the domain is in the Pre-Release section but many things can happen....

Last second bid, Registrar Keeps it and I'm sure 10 other things "could happen" also. lol

OK. My gut feeling is eNom will not let it drop since they already paid for the renewal. I think $69 is a tad too much for the domain. But I'll have to bid if I want to secure the domain now.

Nearly All registrars renew their customers domain names upon expiration - that isnt necessarily an indication that the domain will not drop. Ive picked up a few that expired from NSI on NameJet via Backorder elsewhere. It happens - and sometimes you manage to get lucky.

ZERO!

All pre-release domains are from NSI and Enom. So ALL NSI domains go to NameJet with no other service able to get them. The only way a domain from NSI is going to be captured by anybody "else" is if nobody places a bid for the Pre-Release domain or the NSI customer puts in the request that the domain not be sold via auction. Then the domain would go Pending Delete at some point (if NSI doesn't keep it) and any drop service would have the chance.

Yeah. I know. I imagine for you to have been successful, NSI must have a policy of actually dropping the domains which don't sell on NameJet. But I was really asking about eNom. Who we know renews all dropping domains as a matter of course. I kinda suspect they actually hang onto all those domains they renewed. I was asking, just in case anyone could confirm this one way or the other.

Well. It is as I suspected. eNom keeps the domain if it doesn't sell because they have already paid for the renewal.

They can get a refund from the registry within 45 days for the renewal.

A.) Give it sometime and you will most likely see that renewal go away as Kath said and the domain will follow the normal drop process.

B.) Somebody put in a last second bid and the whois has not updated yet or the buyer has not paid yet.
