What happens to parked Domain Names?

Hi

I see some members here who has many domains names registered under their name.

Someone claims to have 100 domain names (.com, .org, .net..etcc..) that are just parked waiting for someone to purchase them.

I was wondering .. does he mean that he paid to register and maintain all those 100 domain names?

How will be earn if those domain names are not sold within the year? Does that mean he will lose money instead of earning?

you park domain names for 2 reasons.....
1. you can break even and make money to pay for the next years registration and usually make a profit off the view and clicks you get... I suggest domainhop.com for domain parking.
2. i cant remember there really was a 2nd one, but i cant remember what it was, ill edit this post when i do remember... lol

however if they arent sold within the year, and he didnt make enough money parking it to pay for hte next years registration, then there is a chance he'll have to pay it himself, and yes... lose some money.
