It looks like it was reregistered today as well - the expiration date has moved to 2007. As for the actual information, I'm not too sure. It appears to be a subsidary of GoDaddy or something though.

That's what I was thinking... Darn... I am disappointed I didn't get this one. I backordered it through pool, but to no avail.

bummer, sorry for your luck. I'm not in the drop catching game, but for .us and .biz Godaddy is supposed to do very well from what I hear. I'm sure that would go for the wwd reseller services as well.

Oddly enough, after I do a bunch of searches, when I go back to get some, the ones that are regged have

this same address, different name though...huh, how'd they do that?

GD likely knows they don't have the resources to compete with the likes of
enom in the backorder market. So they probably figured in "excelling" in a little
more specific.

Smart move if you think about it.

It could be something like these two domains:

Notice how they are registered in one place and it has other registrars contact details? These are my domains by the way. The reason that happened was because I transferred them out from the other registrars and I guess it doesn't automatically change all the details to mine, only certain details. I have to update them with my correct info.

When godaddy manages to catch a name, [email protected], shows as the email addy, for about an hour.

I believe if you go back and check the whois info, it should be updated by now.

BTW: Was it a .us?

The domain was a .us and the whois info still hasn't changed this morning. We will see if it does in the next day or two...
