What do you think of my design?

The site is not up yet so attached is a screenshot, its a poetry website where users can submit and view poetry.

Quite good design, but i don't think it suits the genre of a poetry site...look too techy.

I like it... the simplicity and color suit me.

There does seem to be a... umm... "disconnect" between the theme of poetry and the header. I see/think/feel poetry as soft, gentile, relaxed, slower, flowing, etc. The banner on the other hand has a very speedy, techno, forceful kinda flavor, one might find on a pc/hosting/tech website.

Kinda like... putting a baby seat in a Lamborghini. It can be done! But, it just doesn't "feel" like the two belong together. :imho:

hmm... maybe a gausion blur on the header to make it 'softer' would work better? i'll try it out.

Looks nice, but it doesn't reallty fit the poetry theme. Maybe you can make a more fitting header for it?
