Hello,

What do you all think about the future of .cc domains. There are still some good terms left, but I noticed these are getting more scarce, as well? Is this the next ccTLD to take off?

I personally like .cc the most out of ccTLDs. I think it will pick up either later this year or next year. Not many big sales yet but they will come along soon. :imho:

Let's hope so! I picked up some (what I consider) very good .cc's a few months ago. Go .cc!

well ofcourse they are not popular because they are new, but they'll be popular in a year or so, so the price will gradually increase :)

hi.
they are not knew.
the have been around for a while now. Of course not as long as the major 3 players, but in par with other extensions that have beaten them.

In any case, for strong keywords, they do good for development.
for resselling, they are not as good.

I have to agree that I like dot cc better for development
than reselling. It is still possible to get good short keywords
with large overtures cheaply. And I would prefer a good,
easy to remember keyword than a hard to remember dot com.

I have two developed dot cc's:
http://www.spanish.cc and http://www.russian.cc

I like the std.cc one... I can imagine how the development of that one would go... lol

I've picked up a few what I'd consider premium .cc keywords, but when .cc is priced at twice that of .ws, I prefer .ws for a speculative investment since both have good available keywords. Even so, I've picked up these:

seats.cc
baptist.cc
employee.cc
employees.cc
expired.cc
deleted.cc
dropship.cc

I don't like it. The only ones I like are .com .net .org and .pro

To the general public, even .cc is probably better known than .pro, and even though overpriced, cheaper than .pro. I still think .pro is more speculative than .cc without technically being open registration. If they changed the registry rules and agreement, it would be great though.

Yes true, but I dont think cc should have been opened anyways. Maybe to CreditCard companies, but not to public. I mean, It's not right. :P
