I've stopped investing and jumped into development, although I have no html skills, I'm using platforms such as wordpress to build sites, rank keywords etc...not doing too well, but that's ok, that's the best way to learn I feel!.:imho:

Yea no point reading the advice of people who were already in your situation and moved past it... Whats the point of that?!?
Like mosilager though, I use free platforms (mostly) to build ym sites, or platforms I already own, so my money goes into domains atm, but im thinking of what else i can put it into.
I am a developer so have often tried to develop project, I have recently grabbed a few domains and plan on now developing them into websites and interesting projects.
If you have any projects and you want to develop I might be interested in joining in the prospect, get in touch
I am investing in creating & building onto my own tools and platforms to link my domain portfolio to end users who are ready to buy. I am investing to convert my drop catching tactics into meaningful income.
I would suggest against developing your domains. Unless if you are a web designer & developer in one. If you don't know jack about developing or web design - it will be a frustrating & overall an experience that will leave you with lost money & time.
investing slowly into quality com's and only developing names that I really want to develop into sites that suit my interests.... if I try to develop names that I am not really interested in their niche I just get very bored....
Still investing in domains, still selling them to end users! I haven't developed anything new lately, just continuing to grow the domains I've already developed in the past!
While I realize there are some domain sales pros who work very hard finding decision makers within companies and making sales pitches, my initial attempts at selling domains to end users didn't generate the sort of results I had hoped for. I feel comfortable with the overall quality of my portfolio (though understandably few are $2500 domains) but selling can be frustrating if you aren't used to working in sales where rejection rates are high and sending a pitch to an admin results in your email seeing the delete button. But I will argue if you have to go to all that effort tracking down inside contacts at dozens of companies to sell a domain which took hours to find for $200, is it really worth the effort (ROI on a domain sale IMO should consider the value of one's time)? So I am developing sites and will try to price domains competitively.
Note that one of the domains I promoted via an email campaign in February did receive an offer recently of $750 at TDnam. Was it one of the original contacts or just a random offer? Who knows? Hopefully I can negotiate a little higher but at least someone agrees my prices aren't in the stratosphere.
Not domaining any more, but if I were -- end-user type domains (products, services, GEOs, etc.). The ROI opportunities out there are astonishing if you choose the right domains and employ a few simple templates & tricks.
Trying to get rid of my 'maybe' domains.
Dropping several 'hopeless' ones.
Developing a handful of good (adult) domains.
Spending money on site design and adspots.
I think if you can develop you should , i got a $50 cheque today from an affiliate program .... its a good feeling
I say if you are winning from parking sure stick with it , traditionally my names have never done well from parking so its time to try and develop
I regged a name at domainmonster and they give you a free template with page options for free for a year and then its ten dollars a year for the pages , if you are like me and not html skilled its a good option
