Hi Everyone,

Just writing this to you in frustration.

My site has 1500 Members and recieves plenty of visitors, but my adsense earnings have dropped considerably.

When I had less than 500 Members I was earning close to $100 per month

Now over the last year I have seen my earnings drop to my site battling to earn $50 a month.

I do not know what I am doing wrong, I have the ads positioned nicely throughout the site and in more places than ever before.

This month I am so far averaging $1.46 per day, and when I first placed the ads on the site well over a year ago I was averaging $3 a day.

It is really pissing me off, especially the amount of time and money I put into it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My site is here

I have also a new site here and that also has not bumped up my earnings.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

A probable reason is that your members have gotten too used to seeing the ads that they're blind to them already. A solution to this would be to change the placement or colors of the ads every now and then.

Thanks Mate.

Just wondering is the amount of google ads I have on this PAGE against Adsense TOS

2 x 600x120 Skyscrapers
1 x Text Link
1 x Picasa Referral Button
1 x Firefox Referral Button
1 x Adsense Search Box
1 x AdSense Referral Button

Am I allowed to advertise anymore Google Ads on this page such as

Like a Google AdWords Referral Button

has your amount of clicks lowered, or has the cpc lowered, google may have just lost a few advertisers so the bids lowered. So it could be nothing on your end

i have no clue on that one. I think the program sorta monitors it itself because it wont display ads if there isnt enough content. Just send them an email and ask

Considering that your site has a 6,000,000 alexa, I wouldn't consider it a high traffic domain? If your receiving $50/mo consider yourself lucky =]

Ah Alexa ... bah alexa, I have seen my site go from 600,000 in ranking to 6 million when my site has grown in popularity ... I dont have any faith in that site.

Normal sites stay about the same though. Post up your traffic and your impression google stats and that will make it easier to help you out.

One suggestion:

Have you tried putting Adsense ads in the location where you have the BeautUtes.com "If it wasn't for Utes, Australia'd be stuffed!" graphic? My eyes almost immediately go there first. Best location for advertising. Prime space. Seems wasted to me.

M2C (my two cents)
