Please appraise this one. I know it's the hyphenated version, but it's a US city with a population of about 106,000.

A hyphen dividing a city name looks very bad :imho:

To really obtain value with a hyphenated geo like this, it has to be a very well known city with a very large population.

Without the specific criteria just mentioned, I feel the reg or purchase is simply not worth it IMO.

Thank you, guys. Ironically, the first result of a Google search for the city name is the official website whose domain is hyphenated

Is this in Utah ? Their official website:
http://www.ci.west-jordan.ut.us/

The URL is not easy to remember but I give them credit for using .us at the proper fourth level.

West-Jordan is taken in .com only, even .us, .org etc are untouched.
The non-hyphenated version is taken in a couple of extensions, .com is a minisite.
IMO it's safe to say the local market is too small for somebody to even bother. It's not a very big city. I think it's the kind of domain that can have sentimental value to a local but resale potential is small.
