Over @ GD renewing a name and saw the sale for $9.99 for a new .tv. Wow how low are they gonna go? This is going to speed up awareness of the TLD. But how long will this sale go on for and what is really going on between Verisign and GD.

Good news to have you onboard thenitaliandragon said:plus with 10 % it become $9.09....it may even happen that I reg one.

any domain you register with them get s you some free tools (with ads), in fact I think they still give you a free quick blog, quick podcast, sitebuilder, and some other interesting features that allow you to at least semi-develop the domains, if that is your desire.
But the overall strategy for GoDaddy is pretty amazing... come next year when some registrants are faced with a high renewal fee, they'll simply drop the names and godaddy will have more filler domains for their TDNAM.com marketplace. genius.
my mistake was regging about 20 over the weekend, in case the price went up, but fortunately I held back on the other 20 I'll be regging right now. LOL.
good luck to all.

(reg wisely, there are still many available, don't reg the first ones you think are good, like I did when I started, my mistake)
Just noticed that although the renewals are still expensive you can reg an available name for multiple years for their $9.99 price, even up to 10 years.
With the 10% discount it really comes close to .com, good news![]()
I'm considering this, too, but I'm afraid my domains could get lost (could be stolen) somehow during the transfer process.SearchingTV said:My plan is to switch a month before they expire to who ever has the best deal. At this point I think a lot will happen between now and a year from now so who knows what will happen.
