Hi everybody， my name is xiaohui. I am an ordinary domain investor.i was introduced by my friend. They say domain market is profitable. I am in the market for two and a half year. Like other investors, i believe domain market has huge business opportunity. Recently i need some money, so i have to sell 10 of my good .cc domains. But the transfer out of these domains has been a nightmare. I spent half a month, but the domains are still not transferred out to do transaction. And the bad registrar is webnic!!
The thing is i register these 10 .cc domains in ename.com om july two years ago. Not long before, i hear other investors talk about transfer out domains. I only found out that ename.com is the .cc re-seller of the registrar webnic, the domains are managed by webnic.
Later i saw the notice then i know ename.com has become a .cc registrar. That is ename.com wants to manage the .cc domains together by themselves. At that time, i think it is a good thing .my domains can all be managed under ename.com. So after work i apply to transfer out the 10 domains to transfer to ename.com. Hope a good management might be bring more profits for my domains.
Who would know, from mid May to mid June, a whole month, my domains are still in webnic. I contact ename.com customer service, they reply to me that webnic has put a lot of limits on the domains ename re-seller with them. They prohibit the domains to transfer out.
Later i hear from the other investors in the forum not only limit transfer out, webnic also cancel domain registration info update by ourselves. If you want to update info for your domain, you need to use your domain email to send them email and also need to submit a lot personal documents. Only like this, webnic will help you update information.
Only until 27, may,i finally got the notice from webnic. They want me to ask for auth code using my domain email. After i send it out, webnic replied two emails. One is ask for my organization certificate and authorization letter, another is ask me to specify transfer out need to cover an extra year fee.
I consider myself a mild person, and always to make the thing solved the smaller the better. But after this experience, to webnic’s all sorts of obstruction on domain transfer out, i could not take any more. A simple transfer out process, they are making it as complicated as they can, only for their own benefit, the renewal fee. How can this registrar better serve customers? I beg to differ.
There are many domain investors has the same bad experiences with webnic about domains transfer out. Tubage said: “i am in a rush to transfer out domains to sell, i am in need of money. If i cannot sell my domains, will webnic be responsible?”
That is quite clear, webnic saw a lot of domains transfer out, then they start to create all kinds of excuses to reject transfer out. Our small investors are the ones pay the price for this bad registrar. No rule,no moral, no credibility, no responsibility. You have no right to be a registrar. Get out!!!
