Hi all,

I started registering a few net.in . i know the extension isn't great, but I found a few good available keyword names. Also, I think in, co.in, net.in might become more interesting in the foreseeable future.

Here are my regs:

Yacht(dot)net.in
Webcam(dot)net.in
OnlineBank(dot)net.in
Spa(dot)net.in
HotelReservations(dot)net.in

Any opinions?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi guys,

it surprises me that you both don't know about Indian domains... specially you chrysalis55, as you have a few messages on the forums. In domains have been doing not too bad (Webcam.in sold for 18.000 $).

Rogue, I see you are a bit of a newcomer, there is no .com.in, but, similarly to the UK, India uses .co.in.

Also, Rogue, I don't take offense, but please don't use sarcasm in your responses (I might accept it from senior members of NP, but not from a newbie), as you might receive some nasty responses.

Well, surprised here too, because I have never seen any mention of a "dot net dot in" sale. Do you have any recent examples?

I was well aware of "dot in".

....and number of posts does not make someone a "newcomer" necessarily....they might have been in domaining for 10 years and yet only joined here 2 weeks ago, like me.

bad example, there is no .uk, but there is a .in, and lets not compare the two, .net.uk is not popular, dont tell me that you think a .net.in has a value at this moment! We are not nostradamus here, we can't predict the future

P.S. dont get me wrong, i didnt want to sound that sarcastic, it was ment as an opinion

:) no probs, I obviously respect your opinion. And yes, I too think .net.ins aren't particularly valuable at the moment, but I do think the keywords above are good. Also, as Yahoo has recently been advertising their Yahoo.in quite heavily in India now, other Indian extensions MIGHT gain value.

Anyway, we're going off topic here. Thank you anyway.

It seems that you answered your question. We are not off topic, i just cant predict the future for the .net.in domain names, right now they hold no value, and as no-one is interested in them, they will keep the same "value"
