Web Payment Processing? If not PayPal, then...?

I am just wondering if there are any other comparable payment processors apart from Paypal? After having read articles from www.paypalsucks.com I am getting worried about the latter. If the services are available to Canadians, then all the better. Thanks for any and all help!

My ATM is debited an extra $1.50 per withdrawal, as stated on ikobo's site, and as I personally experienced. I don't know where this money ends up, though, whether at ikobo or to the bank.

I got a news from a forum. It says that Ikobo have lowered its money transfer fee to 3%. But I do not know if it is true. Can you guys verify this news?

lower sending fee

Yes, the money sending fee has been lowered from 4% to 3% + 5$ and this is for person to person (p2p) transactions. It is a good thing for people who send more than 600$ per transcation. The merchant fees are unchanged.

I often transfer momey to my brother. The amount commonly is bigger than 600$. So this news is a good news for me. :gn:

Eh well, it's good news for all of us eventually. Comes to prove ikobo's still trying to make improvements and such. BTW, has anyone tried the "chat" link recently? ;)

Yeap :P
And I really like their new customer page. You can use it to read their new FAQ or to chat with their customer service and you can also see your history of questions (this keeps people like me :) to not ask the same questions again and again). You can find it here

Yes. I feel the customer support of Ikobo has made great improvement recently. I asked a question regarding Ikobo account the day before yesterday. When I checked my email box yesterday, I happened to find a reply email from Ikobo. I am supprised that they can answer me so quick.

I sent a payment with stormpay before and do not have a problem with it at all. Just a little costly charges. Never had problem with paypal too. Online transactions are just your luck, afterall. Who knows what will happen tomorrow? Anything can happen. Nothing is 100% guaranteed. Even paying at the bank can be risky.

You're absolutely right. Everything is risky these days. The trick is finding the service which is more risky. I for example got a little "burnt" by paypal so I decided to switch before I get any serious injuries. :)
Hmm, what are you guys (xieqiu, Jokez Guy and travis25r) talking about? New help page you say? I guess I'd better go check this out myself. Thanks!

Of course nothing is 100% guaranteed. But somthing has a small risk and something has a big risk. :D
I have not used stormpay. How much does it charge per transaction?

Quote from their website: Standard Rate: 6.9% plus 69 cents per transaction.
I'm not taking any sides here, but compared to the 3%+5$ ikobo is charging, this seems quite pricy. I don't think they offer a card to get your money with either...
